The distinctive cards were signed and stamped by employees to verify that bettors had the right to buy one serving of Guinness.
At the time, co-owner Del Currie mentioned that the establishment typically went through about eight barrels weekly but only received three kegs this particular week.
He told The Morning Advertiser: "Rather than panicking and stating, 'There will be no Guinness for Christmas,' we decided to go ahead and make it entertaining We began trying it out yesterday evening, and it turned out to be rather enjoyable – everyone had a great time with it.
Mr Currie stated that the watering hole would keep operating with the ration cards until supplies run out.
